Breathing Life with Clean Air Action: Civil Society Drives Change

On Thursday 25 May 2023, the GHC’s International Geneva Global Health Platform co-organised with Health Policy Watch, the Clean Air Fund, and the Climate and Clean Air Coalition of the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), its fourth and last WHA side event on the theme: “Breathing Life with Clean Air Action: Civil Society Drives Change”.

Building a Human Rights Framework for Emergency PPR

On Tuesday 23 May 2023, the GHC’s International Geneva Global Health Platform co-organised with the International Commission of Jurists, the Global Health Law Consortium, the Global Initiative for Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, and Physicians for Human Rights, its second WHA side event on the theme: “Beyond Panic & Neglect: Building a Human Rights Framework for Public Health Emergency Prevention, Preparedness and Response”.

75 Years of Global Health Governance: WHO's Legacy and the Making of its Future

The GHC's International Geneva Global Health Platform and the United Nations Foundation will co-host their annual briefing on 21 May 2023 to preview the key issues being considered at the 76th World Health Assembly (WHA) and explain WHA modalities for delegates, non-state actors, the media, and general audiences. The event will highlight the World Health Organization (WHO)’s 75th anniversary and its evolving role in global health governance during a time of intensive efforts to reform multilateral cooperation on health. The discussion will also recognise the serious and growing challenges to healthcare delivery in conflict and crisis settings and consider WHO’s current and future approaches to supporting countries to meet these challenges.
